East Side King's globally influenced Japanese street food was created by Paul Qui and Moto Utsunomiya. It all started with an idea while working as chefs at an upscale sushi establishment. The two former Uchi chefs wanted a space for creative culinary freedom and fun.
What started as a food truck behind the Liberty Bar has since grown into a second brick and mortar location on South Lamar as well as a catering department. East Side King was also proud to welcome former Executive Chef of Thai-Kun, Thai Changthong to the team.
The menu includes spinoff items from their sophisticated days at Uchi combined with some new delicacies that bring out the personality of the chefs and their desire to make all of your food fun. With a physical restaurant, a traveling food truck, and catering options, you can enjoy your favorites virtually anywhere.
Quell your craving for Thai spice, fried chicken, refreshing salads, and other Asian fusion in a relaxed and contemporary atmosphere. Enjoy the best ingredients from professionally trained and experienced chefs. With plenty of gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, and specialty diet options, East Side King has a little something for everyone on their menu.
