Denver may be thousands of literal and figurative miles away from New Delhi, but there's a reason that Little India has been named the best Indian restaurant in Denver over and over again for the past 16 years. The Baidwan family of northern India have been Denver residents for several decades, and they opened their restaurant in 1988 because they wanted to share their love of their beloved Indian food with the locals. They'vebecome famous for their warm and friendly restaurants (there are two of them!), their top-notch and locally-sourced natural ingredients, and their authentic Indian fare. If you can't make it to their restaurants, check out their food truck. Grab some pakora masala loaded with earthy spinach, tender potatoes, and onions fried in a rich batter, topped off with a spicy masala sauce. It's perfect for those days when you need grab-and-go nourishment. A big cup of mulligatawny mughlai soup, loaded with chicken doused in spices and herbs, is a perfect pick-me-up for one of those infamous cold Denver days. Heavy hitters like the ridiculously rich, spicy, and delicious vindaloos. The rich buna stews are perfect to scoop up when you're headed home in the evening and want to do nothing but break out the wine, plop yourself on your sofa, and take a culinary journey to Mumbai.
