Owner and Chef Miguel Vidal grew up in San Antonia, where he developed a strong passion for all things BBQ. He's worked in the service industry for 17 years and together with his wife and brother, he opened Valentina's to showcase his particular blend of Tex-Mex and BBQ. The idea for Tex-Mex BBQ came from his family barbeques where every family member brought something along to contribute. This usually wound up being family salsas, tortillas and plenty of Mexican flavors. This spirit of sharing and integrating cultures is behind everything that Valentina's stands for.
If you're looking for smoky, tender brisket, or the best pulled pork you've ever tasted, you should make Valentina's Tex-Mex BBQ your next destination. All their meat is sourced from a family farm just outside of Austin, Texas that is well known for their Angus beef and Berkshire pork products. This respect for the meat translates into the final product which is tender and simply delicious. Even if you're not a fan of the combination of Tex-Mex and BBQ, you really need to come visit Valentina's. Their passion and love make their food something very special indeed.
